At Temple Judea Mizpah, we regard our school as a jewel, and our students as precious gems. Giving our students a quality Jewish education is our sacred mission as we constantly look for ways to engage them in the best possible way. Our Temple Board and lay leadership are dedicated and committed to our school in this endeavor.
Our outstanding professionals are devoted to partnering with our parents in teaching our collective children love of G-d, Judaism and Israel. Our goal is to instill in our students a foundation that will serve them well spiritually as they grow into adulthood. Our student aides are shining examples of the strength of our school and are role models for our younger students.
Our curriculum is cutting edge in both Judaic and Hebrew education. We use the newest and best Jewish textbooks and workbooks, and employ the latest teaching techniques to engage our students in their quest for knowledge … and have fun at the same time! We are constantly evaluating and updating our curriculum to impart a solid Judaic foundation to our students, along with a sense of Jewish pride. Our school programming provides experiential enrichment that our students will always remember.
We present many adult education offerings on a weekly basis, such as Adult Hebrew, Ulpan Hebrew, study minyan, and Anshe Mitzvah (adult bar/bat mitzvah). We have many ongoing daily adult education classes covering a wide array of subjects called “Daytimers”. Our popular book club has monthly meetings with enjoyable discussions. We also regularly schedule speakers on timely subjects as well as provide Scholar in Residence weekends to help expand and enrich our knowledge.
We encourage all to take advantage of our many educational programs as an avenue to personal growth and fulfillment as a Jew. Make sure to stop by the school office to say hello or ask a question when you’re in the building!
